Management Training that changes how your team works
We run focused workshops for first-time managers, mid-level leaders and senior department heads across Scotland and the wider UK. Each programme is built around the decisions your people actually face, not theory from a textbook.
Four core programmes, each running between one and three days. We deliver on-site at your office, at our Schinneringham training suite, or via live video for distributed teams.
New manager foundations
A two-day intensive for people stepping into their first management role. Covers delegation, giving feedback that sticks, running productive one-to-ones, and handling the shift from doing the work to directing it. Participants leave with a 90-day action plan tailored to their own team.
Difficult conversations and conflict
One day of scenario-based practice. We use recorded role-plays so managers can watch themselves back and spot habits they would never notice otherwise. Topics include performance warnings, salary disputes, team friction and restructuring announcements.
Strategic thinking for mid-level leaders
Three days spread across six weeks, with coaching calls between sessions. Participants work on a live business challenge from their own organisation. They present findings to their senior leadership at the end, which doubles as a visibility opportunity.
Senior leadership intensives
For directors and heads of department who want sharper decision-making under uncertainty. We bring in external case material, financial modelling exercises and peer challenge groups. Each cohort is capped at eight people to keep discussion honest.
What happens after the training
We measure outcomes at 30, 60 and 90 days. Here is what our clients typically report.
Faster, clearer decisions
Managers who complete our foundations programme cut their average decision turnaround by roughly 40% within three months. That number comes from self-reported surveys across 22 client organisations in 2024.
Fewer escalations to senior leadership
Shorter meeting times with better action items
Fewer grievances, less turnover
Organisations that sent managers through our conflict programme saw formal grievance filings drop by an average of 28% in the following six months. Staff turnover in those teams fell too, though the percentage varied widely by sector.
HR teams spend less time mediating
Exit interview data shows improved manager relationships
Sick leave related to workplace stress decreases
How we work with you
No off-the-shelf slide decks. Every engagement follows a four-step process.
Diagnostic call
We interview three to five stakeholders to understand the real gaps, not just the ones in the brief.
Content design
We build scenarios and exercises from your industry, using language your managers already use.
Delivery
Sessions run in groups of 8 to 14. Two facilitators per room, so nobody hides at the back.
Follow-up
Each participant gets two 30-minute coaching calls over the next 90 days to keep momentum going.
Common questions
How many people can attend a single session?+
We cap groups at 14 participants. For larger teams, we run parallel sessions on the same day so everyone gets the same content within the same week. This keeps group dynamics tight enough for real conversation.
Do you deliver outside Scotland?+
Yes. About a third of our work is in England and Wales. We travel to your premises or arrange a venue nearby. For international teams, we run live video sessions in UK-friendly time zones, typically mornings or early afternoons.
What does a programme cost?+
Pricing depends on the programme length, group size and whether we need to create bespoke case material. A one-day session for up to 12 people typically starts around £2,800 plus VAT. We send a detailed quote after the diagnostic call.
Can we mix experience levels in one group?+
Sometimes. The new manager foundations programme works best with people at a similar stage. The conflict workshop, on the other hand, benefits from a mix of experience because senior managers bring different examples and challenge newer managers to think ahead.
How far in advance should we book?+
Four to six weeks is comfortable for scheduling and content design. We have occasionally turned things around in two weeks when a client had an urgent need, but the diagnostic step gets compressed and the scenarios are less tailored.
